The modular furniture collection “APROPO DE” is a reinterpretation of the symbolism in Brancusi’s works. Designed for everyday use in both family and public spaces, the pieces in the APROPO DE collection can transform a space, serving as stools, divans, or side/coffee tables. Made from durable materials, the collection includes three stool models, each inspired by Brancusi’s sculptures.
Brancusi said, “Art—perhaps the most perfect—was conceived in the childhood of humanity.” It’s natural for us to organize our homes for comfort and aesthetics.
The design process prioritized material choice. The handcrafted upholstery prints reflect Romanian culture through a modern lens, featuring scenes from village life. The inner structure uses wood and recycled foam, supporting sustainability.
The collection is meant to be passed down as timeless design pieces. “APROPO DE” is the result of a successful collaboration with interior designer Casina Batinas, aiming to preserve cultural heritage and explore the connection between humanity and craftsmanship, promoting Romanian culture through design.
