The EMBRACE, a piece from the SPEAKING OF furniture collection can be considered a reply to the Brâncusi sculpture, The kiss. As the Brâncuși art work, the idea of this object is simple: joining a two separate entities restore the original unity.
‘Speaking of Embrace’ is actually a stool fitted with a higher extension that can in turn take place ofbackrest, side table or armrest. The piece fits just as well in an traditional interior as well as in a contemporary one, its curved lines adding to the space both flow and and dynamism.
Line is an important element in interior design to make a room visually balanced and pleasing. Through furniture there is a practical way in which the curved lines can be introduced in space.
The upholstery features a contemporary design, hand painted and then digitally printed on a textured fabric. Upholstery decoration, with cloth embroidered by hand and attached to the area of sitting, like a folk costume photo, he adds a touch of traditional to the whole ensemble.
The upholstery patterns folds naturally over the existing curves, leaving free imagination for interpretation.
The internal structure consists of wood and polyurethane sponge, obtained by an upcycling process in the production circuit of the remains of sponge and cloth by the manufacturer of Antares Romania chairs.
The structure resulting from the process of recycling is compact, having qualities clearly superior to the classic sponge. The strength and quality of this new product is tested within the department quality control of Antares Romania.
